Webb Ross Lawyers in DargavillePractice made perfect!Webb Ross Lawyers is fairly iconic in Whangarei and was initially formed by the merger of Johnson Hooper and Webb Ross & Co in 1990. A second merger with the firm of Thorne Dallas & Partners in 2006 made it Northland’s largest law firm. It’s also one of the longest serving practices as all the firms have considerable histories in the north dating back to the 1930s. But like any industry times are changing and the company has opened a second office in Dargaville. “Our clients lead extremely busy lives and it’s not always convenient to get someone to take care of the farm so they can head to Whangarei to sort their legal matters” says Partner Roger Bell. And in a climate where matters like employment contracts and occupational health and safety procedures are increasingly complex “it’s more important than ever to get the right advice” says Partner Stuart Spicer. He’s Whangarei born and bred and has a wealth of experience in contract negotiation. Managing Partner Wayne McKean agrees and says “that applies to all areas of your business. Farm succession, resource management and asset protection are all hot topics at the moment and some good advice now can save a lot of grief later”. |

| Fourth partner Steve Wong explains that because Webb Ross is a large firm they can provide specialist advice in whatever area of the law you need help with. “It’s a bit like going into hospital for a bypass operation. The guy who does ear, nose and throat operations probably knows a thing or two about hearts but if you’re going under the knife, you’d rather have an expert who’s done the procedure a thousand times before”. The Partners and their Senior Lawyers will operate from their new premises at 109 Victoria Street from September 29 on a rostered basis and can access additional expertise from the Whangarei office as required. |
