Our Team - Rodger Bell
Roger Bell, B.A., LL.B (Hons), B.C.L (Oxon)
Partner
Roger was born in 1951. He went to Auckland Grammar School and graduated from Auckland University B.A., LL.B (Hons). He was admitted to the bar in 1976. He then completed a Bachelor of Civil Law at Oxford University. He has worked for Bell Gully (Auckland) (1975-76), Simpson Coates and Clapshaw (1978-80), in Kiribati (1980-82), and Bell Gully again (1983-85). He joined Webb Ross and Co (now Webb Ross) in 1986.
Roger is one of Northland’s leading litigation lawyers, concentrating on civil litigation and resource management. His work has included insurance, admiralty, intellectual property, resource management, and local government work, as well as extensive commercial litigation, (eg insolvency, company disputes, professional liability, etc).
He has appeared in most jurisdictions including the District Court, the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the Environment Court. He has conducted lengthy and complex hearings.
